No more paper patents?

This one falls under the "It's about time" category. The USPTO is (slowly) moving toward end-to-end digitization with their proposal to issue patents electronically. No more paper patents mailed to the applicants. This is a great idea. Although, at the risk for dating myself, I will miss seeing the paper patent with the pretty gold seal on the cover.

My next wish? Modernizing the forms on TEAS (Trademark Electronic Application System). They remind me of the 80s.
