Michele Liu Baillie

Michele Liu Baillie, Registered Patent Attorney and Principal, has almost two decades of legal experience in the patent law. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized companies, startups, and individual inventors in around the U.S. and abroad, including Silicon Valley and New England.
Prior to founding North Shore Patents, Ms. Baillie was a partner at Sawyer Law Group, LLP, in Palo Alto, California. Ms. Baillie has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is licensed in Massachusetts and California.
Ms. Baillie serves on the board of the Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts (WBA). At the WBA, Ms. Baillie is the current co-chair of its Gala Committee, which produces the WBA annual signature event, and is a past co-chair of the WBA's North Shore Committee. Ms. Baillie also recently served on board of the North Shore Technology Council as the Founding Chair of the Women's Initiative from March 2011 through December 2012. Ms. Baillie is an active member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and The Boston Club.

Lesley A. Leonessa, Of Counsel, is a Patent and Intellectual Property Attorney with an extensive background in Software, the Internet, and Technology. Ms. Leonessa has been actively counseling clients on Intellectual Property protection since 2005. Prior to entering the field of Patent Law, Ms. Leonessa acquired 19 years of professional experience and deep technical knowledge in the areas of Software Development, System Integration, and Manufacturing Test Systems/Processes working at companies such as Millipore, Polaroid, Honeywell, Stratus Computer, and EMC.
Ms. Leonessa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lowell, a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a MBA from Northeastern University, and a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law.
Ms. Leonessa is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Boston Patent Law Association, Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of Massachusetts,and the Women’s Bar Association.
